Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I am truly humbled by your faith in me to be your Pastor for this year.

As I prayed about the year before us I kept being brought back to "reach out with Christ's Love".

This theme was started before I was pastor and I feel that we still need to share HIS love in our services and in our outreach to others! The two greatest commandments are to love the Lord our God, and to love our neighbor as our self. That includes our      brothers and sisters at Missionary!

Families are the strength of our church. The spirit of the Lord spoke to me that we need to strengthen our families and that will strengthen our church! There are so many families being torn apart by the world and satan. This can effect even our branch if we do not focus on sharing His love to each other and our families! We need to be strong in our families so that we can go out into the world and share His love. Our missionary efforts must start in our homes and in our branch IF we are to be able to witness to the world!

I am excited about all of you that have taken an active place in the furthering of his Gospel message to our brothers and sisters at     MRB and to His world that we live in. In business there is an 80/20 rule. What that means is that there are 20% that do 80%, I do not feel that at Missionary. I see all of you doing the work of the Master. Some of you are not as visible as others but you are there in the background doing whatever you can and I thank you for that.

God has a work for ALL of us to do and I pray that this year we can find ways to make all that attend Missionary Branch feel that they have a work to do for the Lord! It is not just the priesthood or the women's ministry BUT each of us as members in general that will build the Kingdom. It has to start with me and you.

I love His work and I love each of you as my family. I have said this before but I am closer to all of you than I am my maternal/paternal family because you are my family!!

I would ask each of you to pray for me, our congregation, Zion and the coming of our Lord. I continue to pray for each of you that this year we will put aside our differences and focus on the task that lies before us to bring about Zion!!

May the Lord bless each of you and your families as you "Reach out with His Love".

 Your Servant, Gary [Pete] Hughes
